General Education includes a set of courses that all students must complete as a requirement for graduation demand. The medium of instruction is both Arabic and English, suitable for the language medium followed by each college in the university. courses offered are ranging between compulsory and elective courses depending on the study plan of each college. General Education seeks to achieve AFU mission and vision by offering students with solid foundation courses.
AFU English Placement Test is one of the important tests arranged from this department. The purpose of this test is to determine student’s skills and knowledge in English. This information determines the student’s need for extra English course. Remedial class is a course that may be required for students to build up their skills in English before they are allowed to take regular courses.
