The aim of this course is to develop students’ composition skills and improve sentence structure and the mechanics of writing. The course deals with academic writing and/or writing for academic purposes using a process-oriented approach. Students writing will involve extensive drafting and redrafting with individual input and tutorials. An important component of the course will be a research project combining original ideas with the ideas of others into a professional evidence-based written formats with appropriately constructed in-text citations and references. The course also reviews sentence structure and punctuation rules. |

This course is an introduction to basics of computer systems. It introduces students to basic computer concepts and terminology in hardware, software, networking, and security.
